Offshore Windfarm rescue concept

I spearheaded the development and implementation of a cutting-edge rescue concept tailored for an offshore wind farm located 80 km off the coast of Germany. This comprehensive plan featured a seamless integration of available offshore vessels and helicopters stationed on land, ensuring swift and effective rescue operations. A critical element of the initiative was the extensive training provided to both the medical team and the offshore workforce, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond efficiently in emergency situations. This multifaceted approach not only enhanced the safety protocols of the wind farm but also underscored our commitment to operational excellence in offshore energy management.

Improving Product Safety and Technical Rescue

In my role supporting and leading product safety initiatives, I collaborated closely with engineers and the OEM leadership team to enhance the safety and compliance of our offshore wind turbine project. Through our collective efforts, we identified critical areas for improvement and successfully redesigned multiple aspects of the turbine. This proactive approach not only ensured operational compliance but also significantly enhanced the overall safety of the turbine’s design and functionality.

Global Risk Register and associated EHS plans

As the EHS lead for European offshore wind installation activities, I developed a global framework for risk assessments and EHS plans tailored to our installation processes.
